We are finally moved into the new house … well, almost. We’ve still probably got another trailer-load of stuff at my parent’s house that we packed up about 6 months ago when we started remodeling and staging the old house, getting it ready to sell.
For the most part everything is still packed up in boxes, while I take my time setting up our new place. I’ve got a good jump on the kitchen and will start working on the bathrooms and closets today. At the current pace, I’d say I’ll have everything unpacked and arranged within about 2 weeks or so.
It’s been a bit frustrating living out of boxes, not able to find things when we need them. Not to mention all of the pregnancy-related restrictions: don’t lift anything heavy, no cleaning with smelly chemicals, suddenly I’m tired (or don’t feel good) and just want to sleep, etc. So now more than any other time in my life, I’ve hand to consistently rely on others and ask for help. Sometimes it’s hard for me, but for the most part I’ve tried to enjoy it.
