Last Friday I took a couple of hours off of work to speak with the Art Forum students at Washburn University. It was a fun experience being on the other side of the room, telling about the experiences I’ve had showing and selling my artwork as a recent WU grad. I was very honored when Glenda Taylor, Dean of the Art Department asked me to speak to the students. It has been a goal of mine ever since I was an Art Forum student and the twins, Amy and Amber (I don’t know their last name), spoke to my class. They were so inspiring to me. I always wanted to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and inspire they way they did.
Carla Tilghman was the other speaker that day. She is a textile artist from Lawrence that creates custom weavings.
